Finally, after messing with a few different paint types, I settled on epoxy. I believe the cabinet will repel a stone strike at 60 miles per hour. The paint is really hard. I finished it today and I think I'll be using this stuff from now on. It's shiny but it looks great. Using automotive paint on wood is a bitch, but the end result is pretty good. Before my buddy and I painted it, I re-veneered the edges and the front. So I'll give it two days to harden and start final assembly on Saturday.

| This is the back panel that will go on it. I test fit it on Lazarus (#600), which is in the shop for a few upgrades. I will use similar material over the hole in the side. We'll preserve the Unicorn panel for posterity. | |
