Here's the thing...

We all have bad days...  Basically, we're all assholes at some point of the month...  A-hem...

You know why?  Because we all have to deal with other assholes that we like at some point of the month!!  (or day)

Having said that...

After speaking with some drum colleague's today, I just realised why I can't sleep!!  It's because of Simon Phillips and "Space Boogie"!!!

Damn you Simon!!!

Carry on...

"But when you think of me tune in the frequency, Come out and play come out and play"
...Gandalf Murphy and The Slambovian Circus of Dreams

"Nothing can change the shape of things to come."
...Max Frost

"Any talent that we are born with eventually surfaces as a need"
...Marsha Sinetar

Subject: [Mellotronists] Don/Mike

Hi Don, I really appreciate this list being here - it directly led me to
my m400. It's the email that I most look forward to every day, not only
for the valuable information and wide range of opinion and criticism,
but also for the devastating wit and humor delivered by a number of our
members.

Mike Dickson is a contender in all those categories, and a luminary in
the last. I feel that Mike is a valuable contributor (as are you and
many others) to the list and I really wish that you'd reconsider your
action - we will be lesser for his absence. I mean if we can make it
through "Corn Flakes As Musical Instrument?! ?", we should be able to
come through Jon Anderson's lyrical value intact.

Sure, Mike can be a bit of an asshole at times, but who can't? And like
my old man used to say, "Assholes are like opinions - everyone's got at
least two or three"... OK, so I've come to realize that my father
entertained some strange notions...
