Yeah Tony...it was Jan and Dean...song was loosely based on Jan's own
experience in his sports car in So. Cal.
It was Dean who sang the lead on Barbara Ann. (Wilson could't give
him credit though...because he was not suppose to be crossing record
labels...he was at the party when the party lp was recorded.)
My brother and I had a High School surf band in Vegas. We were on of
three real popular Friday night dance bands on the Vegas High School
circuit, the othere two being, the MIsty Souls (Stones Cover Band),
and the Misty Souls (top 40 band)
We were the Outcasts,
To answer the other questions about brain damage or getting waqcked
with a board... or do you need to be mentally stable to play in a
surf band...yeah, I got hit by my own board a few times...and I don't
think I suffered any major brain damage,...if you will... excuse me
for a moment,,,I need to answer some questions from those voices
inside my head...and yeah Jonesally... it is chance there
is "scientific correlation" and you hit the board right on the head.
and bty...there is some tron violins on Dennis Wilson's Pacific Ocean
Blue.

have one long board, and two shorter "fish" boards.
Will probably go to Sandy beach today,,,waves are around 6-8 feet.
Will probably listen to Al Jardine Live in Las Vegas ( with the
Wilson Daughters, Billy Hinchie, and Jardiines Sons.
Yeah...that all takes brain damage.
