Greetings Gang,  I too enjoyed those surf-beach-songsbefore
my Mellotronic awakening in late 1960's. Happily recalled the times
when swimming at the NJ shore or Lake Hopatcongto the music
of Beach Boys and Jan/Dean.

This carried-thru into 2004 when visiting SanDiego.
I quietly hummed the tune "Surfin' USA" uponseeing the Pacific Ocean
first time ever at La Jolla beach.  Thanks for the guided tour Frank!

Did anyone also consider  (based uponJon's statement above,
that some of these guys got whacked upsidethe head with a surfboard
when "Hanging-10 ?"  Could be the reason.  Lee , you're an avid
surf-guy.  Your thoughts on this ?

Cheers, -- JK (still looking for the itsy-bitsyteeny-weeny yellow
polka-dot bikini )
