this stuff usually comes in via fax, hand-written by
the studio's "go-fer"/intern. and it's not entirely
his/her fault - it's just that keeping track of these
things is not a priority for anyone involved - they
all have more pressing things to be concerned with.
sometimes an act has responsible management that can
understand how important some of this can be, but
this is quite rare.
then try adding a language barrier - like the faxes
i would get from europe and asia. it's a wonder the
records ever came out at all...

these are just some of the reasons i can't watch "regular"
television anymore. if i were to be a film producer i would
have a clause that this could never be done. i can't believe
that SAG and other unions are allowing this to happen at all.
if i were a gambling man i would bet that something WILL be
done about this in the near future - there are actual "rules"
about film credits and "above the line" / "below the line"
in the contracts that everyone signs.
