Ok...maybe this is more appropriate...
Love the song, ....always wondered how they got that sound back then (a Clavioline?)
Telstar used bass, drums, guitar, clavioline, Lowrey organ, and Joe's modified piano with thumb tacks in the hammers to create its science fiction sound, inspired by the launch of the world's first communications satellite.
The lead guitar in the live version ........stunningly atrocious.
