Greetinx...
OK...there is falsehood in the title of the email, but I ask your indulgence. While surfing YouTube musically not long ago, I came across videos of a performer I hadn't heard from for a VERY long time: Gary Numan. I have attached the address for a clip that caught my fancy for a number of reasons.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fctpxJz1QRU1. This song has the busiest drummer I've heard for quite a while.
2. Heavier sond than I expected from 1980's electronic guy Numan.
3. Interesting keyboards, including somewhat incongruous strings/mellotron samples (still loved it!).
4. Sans stage make up, the guy is a RINGER for John Edwards (ok, darker hair, but its all I'll concede).
The recording is very crude: poor screen resolution and the video runs maybe 5 seconds ahead of the audio. For what it's worth, it looks like Mr. Numan returned to form a bit with with song over time. There is another shorter version you can find online where the stage makeup has returned, along with a more electronic sound. Even more recently, the song mutates into a different one called 'Pure' that is mostly electronic (with my lovely smashing drums gone).
