I enjoyed Gordon Reid's "Aliens":

http://www.rmi.dircon.co.uk/RMI (Radio Massacre International) have been using their Mellotron
(the "Stickertron") for years on largely electronic
recordings. They're rather prolific and have done tons of
albums. If you would like to try them out, see the page for The
Gatherings gig:
http://www.kleonard.com/music/concerts/rmi040508.htmThere's a section in that write-up about where to start with these guys.
RMI will be in Philly again in November, btw, but I am not sure what
style of music they will be playing. They have been trying to add
drums and move away from electronic a bit.
