Sorry sent my post before I had read yours, Norm.
I noticed the mains lead (though not owning one I wasn't totally sure), and was pretty sure I couldn't hear the mellotron at all. However, the track as played on TotP was totally different from the recorded released version of the single, and the guitars seemed to be live.
Couldn't really understand it. Why go to all that trouble?

Strange sight of a white M400 being used (without mains lead!) on a track that seemed to have real strings on it. There's a wicked irony in there somewhere.
The track was Shakira (possibly spelt differently) and current ly No. 3...
