The M300 has low impedance heads like all post MkII trons and I
believe the same pre/line amps as the SFX consoles. After the M300 all
M400's had the WME type and later PML type pre and line amps which
sound a lot brighter. The MkII violins sound as a result more mellow
on the M300 than on my M400. I think they are even more bright on the
MkII as I remember.
