Hey.
 
Kraftwerk had both a Mellotron and a Orchestron. You can hear it clearly on some of the string sounds on Trans europe express...Some of them have some vibrato (Mellotron) and some of them don't (Orchestron).
 
Kraftwerk are the best band in the world.
If they wrestled with the beatles.  John Lennon would have cried in the ring. Kraftwerk ate Moody bluess for breakfast.
Kraftwerk Rocks. They are the best of all rock. Led zeppelin ripped them off bigtime.
 
If you don't all agree with everything above I will steal your Mellotron pillow case and sell it on ebay. I will even sign it P. Moras

Sorry no - this was the Orchestron if you're referring the mid 70's period.

The mellotron probably belonged to the studio.

It makes a difference. If you own a mellotron, you have more time to come up with some innovative playing techniques than if you spend just a few rushed minutes with it in a studio setting.
