The KORG RADIAS consists of a sound module section plus a 49 note
keyboard. The control module pivots up and down, and moves side to
side to accommodate a laptop computer.
http://www.korg.com/gear/enlarge_product.asp?prid=RADIASI had the module home for two days and used the Moog as a controller.
The menus and presets are a pain in the ass BUT this thing makes some
great sounds! The interface seems easy to deal with (even better than
the MS1000).
For those who care, it can duplicate any DX-7 FM synth preset or
program. I love FM synth sounds, especially without the poor S/N ratio!
All of the factory and user presets can be managed and edited via PC
software thru a USB connection. (waaay better than trying to use the
tiny LCD display on the module).
I hated to say goodbye to this thing!
I want one, I want one, I want one
(and I didn't even try out the vocoder)
