CHOM CHOM CHOM!  I remember it even as CKGM.  One of my cousins worked for them in the early 70's.  Used to get to talk to Aynsley Dunbar when he was DJing.  Whatever happened to a cool music subculture like we used to have?

Ahhh.. you just don’t like him because he won’t sell those Mark II’s that are trashed beyond belief!!!! They used the one with the side handles at West Palm Beach…. I remember that…

I met Robert Fripp in Montreal in 1973. He was on his way into the CHOM studios with Ian Wallace and Peter Sinfield. I stopped to ask him about the mellotrons he'd used the evening before in a concert I attended (not having seen a 400 in the flesh before). He offered to sell me one of the two MkIIs he had for $3000. He even offered to bring it over next time they toured if I would wait that long. Being in university and basically broke, I couldn't take him up on the offer.

I should have. Streetly has restored one of the two and it now works perfectly -- according to Martin (but you can't really trust him now, can you?
