wItemIncluding the straightening of the front keyboard panel that will
probably swell up and make the keys stick at the right side of the
keyboard during humid weather, replacement of the missing knobs and
the probable Sound Sales bodges that will need to be fixed, it could
end up being as expensive as a new MkVI. Any comments from the expert
refurbishers here? - Bernie

Hi Bernie and gang, Having seen my share of Sound Sales bodges
thru the years, a "standard list" of knownissues can be
tabulated. Most flagrant weretape spill boxes horribly misaligned,
accelerating tape wear at the capstan point, and twisted pad arms
to "enhance" key action..... NOT !Oh yeah, and the missing lower "L" bracketson spill boxes, causing
that part AND the motor to find its own position(usually at a gross
angle). ...these are just forstarters....."Chamberland ? " Soundslike a theme park to me.
