If the pop occurs on any of the eight voices, the problem probably lies at the point where the 8 signals are summed before the delay board, or after the delay board where the signal is amplified.

But if your not up to soldering and testing, you should probably sell your DW as it is (for spare parts or to a experienced tech guy) and make up the difference to buy a working one. The difference will be cheaper than paying a tech to just open it and read the service manual...
