It might --

The noise generator output can be interrupted by lifting the plus end
of C61 on the voice board (a 10uf capacitor). The external signal
can theoretically be fed in through this capacitor. Keep in mind the
fact that this cicuit feeds into a dedicated VCA for the noise;
you'll have to have noise selected & turned up to hear anything.

Also, some experimentation will be required to find the right level
&/or buffering for the incoming signal.
