Hello-
One of the things you'd have to deal with in this scenario is the factthat the DW has EIGHT filters & envelopes -- an external audio inputto voice 1 would only sound when voice 1 was played, according to thenote assignment algorithm in the synth's firmware.  It might bepossible to feed the external audio into all eight channels & put thesynth into mono mode;  but with the current low cost of DW8000s, itmight just be easier to reomove the voice board from a non-working ordamaged synth & construct your own device, centered around thefilters & delay.
