I enjoy playing the filter sweeps live running around I must agree the resonance is like a monster set to loud I have the speaker blower patch for clubs that ill never play again it will blow out speakers and make people run...I also urge everyone to do the noise mod to so you have three mods to do . Live its fun to jam out on.I must however admit to warmth of the poly 800 it takes some love but i can get a juno style bass and moog etc with ears that have heard the machines of love and grace.....

Ive also done the Mod for the Poly-800, but imo it doesnt help much to
improve the sound. It is a nice feature to be able to increase the Reso
until the Filter roars, but to be honest: Who uses more than 50% Reso
for a -useful- sound?
Without effects it sound generally crappy, compared to other Synths of
this time. The biggest mistake of the Poly-800 was its "emulated"
sawtooth-WF and no PW/PWM-Modulation.
