According to datasheet archive uA729 = MC1305 = ULN2122 = stereo
multiplex decoder ! Probably not much use as a matched pair, even with
that famous Japanese ingenuity ;<))
FWIW I am also pretty sure I had to replace a uA726 in one of these
synths in the distant past.

Subject: [sdiy] uA729? Trying to read poor quality 100F Kawai unit's
schematic
I'm doing a table for my website finally. I'm putting in every major
production synth and a note on every major facility (vca, vcf, eg etc.)
and putting 'digital' usually if that's the case though I may get more
specific on some of those..but mainly I want it to allow people, in a
glance, to see which features are analog and which components are shared
w/other synths. In reviewing the 100F diagram I have I absolutely can't
believe it says uA726 on this transistor pair which is what they used in
the 100P. I dont' get any google hits for a uA729HC which it appears to
say except for icelect and they probably list numbers that never even
existed. :-). Is anyone familiar with that number? it...almost rings a
bell from fairchild days long gone past :-) -Bob
