[sdiy] ASM-2 1/8" sockets

Hmmm... well I'm really just looking for a reliable jack that is both
panel-mount (with a nut) and PCB-mount. I want to put *everything* on
a PCB, or multiple PCBs, because I'm tired of cutting and stripping
endless little lenghts of wire and soldering them "floating" to panel
components. So the jacks' mounting would support the PCB, just the
same as I intend to do with switches and pots. The photos I've seen
of the FracRack MOTM modules are somewhat along the lines of what I'm
talking about. Pots and jacks on PCBs that are also panel-mounted.
Nice and clean.

So can anybody recommend a nice 1/8" jack (stereo, mono, switching,
anything) that is comes with a nut for panel mounting, comes optianlly
with PCB or solder lugs (just in case I need an odd jack here or there
off of a board), and doesn't have any of these sloppy connection
issues that have been mentioned on this thread? Oh, and that is
available in the US for a reasonable price? I still can't find these
Cliff jacks at any of the US distributors I've checked so far.

Thanks,
Tavys
