Good news!  Those sensor companies have been changing hands and changing 
their products so often it's usually hard to find exact replacements.  I 
also got a bunch of free samples from Allegro with no hassle about being a 
company, etc.  They're good guys.

The Hall sensors are best for measuring small displacements, because the 
magnetic field varies like the 4th power of distance.  I have some examples 
on my SoS pages.  Something like an aftertouch sensor would be another idea.
