[sdiy] Roland RE-201 motor lubrication?

I've opened a Re-501 motor as much as possible, there seemed to be plenty of
lubricant still in there, but just turning it manually seemed to free it up
a lot, and after that it worked perfectly. Also make sure that it isn't
something with the pinch roller that is making it irregular, if the motor
spindle spins fine when echo is not engaged that's a sign that the pinch
roller could be at fault.

I wouldn't want to spray anything in the motor, the lube looked like a
grease/ vaseline looking stuff, not very wd-40.
