When i was youg, i thought that this chemical tin-plating would
be a good idea. Later, i had to learn that boards that had been
threaten that way, do oxidate and become nearly un-solderable
very quickly.
I never had such problems with bare copper on boards that i
made, some of them now over 25 years old now. Yes, they become
dull, too - but adding some flux lets me solder (for repair) them
easily.
