Hi so, on the Video module, it is essentially a CV to video converter. With
separate channels for all the colors (controlling saturation, etc...) and
various kinds of syncing (again individual to color) you can basically make
horizontal lines, vertical lines, little shapes that change and dance in
relation to the music once you get the hang of it. Primitive, but awesome.
Filtering changes things... It turns out there are sort of a lot more
choices and you start to need a lot of mults when you get this going because
you have to decide which aspects of which signals go to either the Video
outs or the Audio outs. Do I want to hear the waveshaped version or just see
it? Maybe I want to see waveshaping after the filter, but hear it before...
you get the idea...
Almost all of the necessary and fun components are going to be in your
modulars already. Waveshaping, filters, VCAs, VCOs, EGs, Noise, S+H...
The kit could be built for either NTSC or PAL.
As I said, this is something that would not be organized and built in the
immediate future. I am in grad. school and then over the summer working
9-5, but I will see what I can fit in... not making any promises.
It's nice to see that folks are interested in this, that's what I wanted to
know for now.
I will let you know as things develop.
Rafael
