The Peavey 1/4" crimp-ons are horrid. The center conductor is folded back
along the side of its insulator and jammed into the contact for the
connector tip and the shield is just caught under the strain relief crimp.
Absolutly horrible design, but the cable is fine and they're cheap.
I'm a big fan of some crimp-on connectors. BNC's come to mind. PL259's on
RG58/RG8X ( but NEVER on RG8/RG213 ), but in this case it was an extremely
bad connector implementation.
