No midi on the 6....it was the first of the Juno series and came out
before the midi protocol was finalised. It does have a "test" mode (hold
down the key transpose key @ pwr up) that activates all voices at once,
but it sounds like ass.
So the "oscillators" are purely digital?
I don't know that. Since you talked about the CV/demux I presumed they
were analog. Just that it would be easier (if you had MIDI) to try and
get
'unison' mode that way.
To monkey with the D/A and the Demux would be tricky. If you tried
to drive six of the demux channels at the same time, the capacitive load
would
probably drag the D/A down and give you unwanted 'glide'. Likewise...
handling
the glide could be tricky anyway.
That
section of my schems is missing but from the filter/envelope sections
(CV from outs of 4051 demux) but I assumed that the wave generation
was the same. If that's the case, screw it. The filters and env's sound
nice in this and I thought it would kill as a monosynth.
Anyone have a
complete schemo set to email? I'd like to poke into this further.
If you get a set, cc me. I'd like to play too... (retrofits are good
fun!)
