Subject: [sdiy] tape head preamp design
hey guys, ive been tasked with building a mess load of tape head
preamps. the tape heads are of varying quality, but should work, $20
for 100 off of ebay. i found a nice schem in the op37 datahseet, but
im still at a bit of a loss, particularly regarding the lrc resonant
circuit...what am i flitering for?
anybody here built a mellotron or similar and can impart some wisdom?
the tapeplayers ive disassembled seem to use an asic, & i sort of want
to throw a precision op amp at the problem.
thanks! you can just email directly if youd like.
