[sdiy] Question on the VCF in Thomas Henry's Drum Cookbook ......

This may be a stupid question but - when it comes to filters, I
haven't a heck of a lot of experience knowledge. Hence, my request
for assistance. :) (It'd be far easier to understand if you have
Thomas Henry's Drum Cookbook, also. ;) )

I was going through schematics before work today, looking for portions
of things to build for my drum voices and I came across the simple VCF
in Thomas's book. A Low Pass 2 pole filter.
It almost immediately occurred to me, that: can't I turn this filter
into a HPF 2 pole filter by switching the positions of the first 2
caps and resistors?

Now - assuming that I could - I could then connect the pair of them
together in serial, to make a 2 pole BPF (each with their own Cutoff
controls). (I'd of course be adding buffers to them - as I will
anyways.) Or, then could be connected together in parallel to make a
Notch filter, if I'm not mistaken. No?

Another curiousity, which I believe I can figure out - is adding
feedback to them, to give myself something of a Resonance Control. ??
:)

My experimental thoughts here, are all for drum sounds, so that I'm
not requiring normal circuitry along with a bazillion parts. My
overall desires, are for modifying potential drum sounds, as much as
possible. :)

(Other portions of my drum voices, will be going from ideas presented
by Thomas, PAiA and Ken Stone, each'n'all with my own additions /
modications.)

Thanks for any help on this! :) I'm hoping to start breadboarding /
prototyping, this weekend. :) I'm going to start building my drum
voices first. Sequencer and Drums Controller after I have voices up
and running. :)
