I'm just guessing, but this might be a prototype for the Deluxe.

It reminds me a *lot* of the panel layout and graphics on the Transcendent 
2000, which was designed by Tim Orr - who was well acquainted with Chris 
Huggett, who designed the Wasp - and looked a lot like a squatter and 
fatter deluxe with a slightly less extrovert layout and colour scheme.

Both synths appeared around 1978. I wouldn't be at all surprised to see 
quite a bit of similarity between the circuitry, although it's difficult to 
say who borrowed the look from whom.
