I'm sure you've all heard of SynthEdit (www.synthedit.com) right? Very
fun and easy to make (GUI modules and patch cables - drag n
drop)...anything - audio process, audio gen, MIDI process, MIDI gen,
samplers, ROMplers, etc...I've made very cool softsynths (personal
usage) a wavetable ROMpler, effects, even made a VST Sequential Circuits
MAX editor (with multitimbral and stack editing.) Most people use
SynthEdit for softsynths.
check out this guys stuff he's very creative and has a lot of unique HQ
VST: http://www.xoxos.net/
SynthEdit can be deep and there are a shitload of 3rd party modules, etc.
Everything works with "real life" voltage and frequency levels - virtually.
I can't even get close to explaining how easy and accurate things are.
Very fun and highly recommended. (If you want build things yourself
without knowing any programming language.)
