I can only speak for myself. But I am very happy with this combination
of modules... this coupled with a very large sampler and a bank of
sample CDs would keep me happy for years.

If someone gave me 10,000 pounds to spend on musical instruments I would
seriously struggle to be able to use it all up without feeling I hadn't
wasted it. Yes, I'd swap my D50 for a V-Synth and my TX-7 for a FS1-R
(its quieter). But then I'm stuck. I don't need anything else... and I'd
rather have a newer car.

Am I interested in creating new timbres? Yes, but not if I have to trawl
through a manual the size of LOTR.

But call me old fashioned but I like to hear a tune in the music I
listen to.
