Ryan,

Might try Harbor Freight if you have one local. I got a bench top one for around $40. Not the greatest but it works good enough. Spend the bucks and get good drill bits though.

Make sure that the distance from the poll that the head attaches to to where the drill bit is will work for you. In your case 6 X 1.75 = 10.5, 10.5 / 2 = 5.25. So make sure there is AT LEAST 5.25" between the pool and where you can drill. More is better. I know this since I've ran up against that problem before. Fortunately I have access to a bigger drill press at a friends work.
