Somewhat OT, so apologies in advance: I bought a Tektronix
2246A scope off of eBay. When it arrived it was DOA. The seller's
response was, essentially, "sue me". The unit is dead -- the CRT
doesn't light, no buttons light, no hum from the power supply,
nada.
Since the whole unit is dead, it seems like it ought to be something
fairly easy to isolate in the power supply. But, much to my
embarrassment, I can't get the darn thing open! I have
the chassis out of the case, but the back panel needs to come
off so I can get to the power supply. Unfortunately, the CRT
is attached to the back panel in some fashion, and I'm afraid
to mess with it for fear of damaging the CRT. Does anyone
know how this comes apart?
