with the added bonus of free church reverb/ambience!

if i could only get to play with the organ at my chuch... they have a
nice hammondesque organ setup [dont remember what the organ is, but
definitely a sort of hammond era copy], and the woman has some nice looking
pro outboard tone generator modules too... i wish she would take advantage
of some layering and different sounds sometime. they have had the same organ
and setup for as long as i can remember, i have never seen her use anything
other than a little bit of tremolo/vibrato with the organ... maybe they had
another pianist/organist at one point that was kind of a gear head :P

my dad does estate sales [re: old people moving to retirement
homes/cemeteries], so like every few houses he will end up with an organ
that has never left the house, new in the 70s [biggest instrumental fad
until... ?], hardly played... and you can't sell it for fifty dollars. i can
only imagine how much money sears must have made off of organs back in the
day.

however, i did get my first piece of all analog gear from one of the
estate sales... my Kay 33 Watt Tube Amp... i got it for free, and to think
that people will pay hundreds of dollars for something that isn't half as
powerful as this piece of junk :P

- nate... who has always wanted a 20x20x9 cement bombshelter built under his
family's back yard for super awesome big sound-proof studio and bedroom...
with a bulkhead for easy big gear in and out.
