You might want to try my attempt at tube simulation:

It simulates the preamp of AX84 HiOctane guitar amplifier (www.ax84.com).
I originally did it for a university course and wrote a paper (at 4am)
that is at http://www.hut.fi/~ajhuovil/tube/

It doesn't simulate the EQ and makes no attempt at simulating power tube
distortion. It does have cabinet simulation tho.
