The old "hot chassis" TV circuit is not appropriate for an application where
cables will leave the enclosure...

Even IF you could count on the plug polarity, you cannot count on the wiring
of
any building being correct.

I have been 'blasted' by many older guitar amps that used such designs... I no

longer allow them in my sight ;^P

And hey Juergen, what's up with this sudden interest in the "dark side"  ???
