More FETS also equals more leakage, and more charge
injection. Actually for most S/H circuits, the 4016
is the better choice.  For MUX circuits, the 4066
might be better.

Think of this like the case of photocells - you can
get
a really wide range cell that is slow, or a narrow
range
cell that is really fast. Which one is right for you
is
the one that's er... right for you :^P
