HP 1631D is the earliest combined scope/logic analyzer versions. I scored
one in perfect in condition with all logic pods for $275. This unit went
for $13,000 new in 1989. HP logic analyzer models 1650 and 1660 also have
variations with scope inputs. There's also the mainframe type 16500 system
if you have room to spare. These are great for troubleshooting logic, 8 to
16 bit microprocessors and slower speed signals like LFOs or envelopes. But
the scope user interface is digital and not conducive to real time trouble
shooting where you're changing sweep rates and volts/division rapidly.
