[sdiy] ot: search for pioneers of electronic music

I'm interested to hear about electrnoic music pioneers in
the US of A and Japan. Does somebody know about very early work in 1950?
Local historiography of course assumes the local heros to be the first.

Interesting to hear of Gordon Mumma. I have to see when he published/created
his first electronic piece...
