Hi Juergen,

I've to admit I don't get the point.

The last time a CD-Player digital out was an issue for me
when I was copying Music to my old Sony Minidisk Player.

There I used the optical connection between the two gadgets.
Otherwise I would have had to utilize the analog connectors :-|
(today PCs are feeding MD players, and they are doning this
much faster).

As far as I understood, you're duplicating your CDs? Or are
you selecting certain tracks and copying them newly arranged
on a new CD-R?

In any case IMHO this would the perfect job for a PC today.

As you might see, I may not get the point.

Does the old Payer have an digital output?

I'm pretty sure, that just depends of the manufacturers implementation.
(I'm aware that this answer won't be of any help)

BTW, what are the brands and models of your devices (Players
and Recorder)?

regards,
Michael.
