I use Eagle professional edition for Linux because I can export it to my OS-X
desktop.  If you look on Eagles site, there is a fairly cheap Not For Profit
license for Standard Edition, I forget what the license limitations are tho.

I *prefer* Designworks and DouglasCad, but just dont have the money right now
to purchase them.  If you use Douglas for making PCBoards, you can get a
cheap version ( $25 ) of DouglasCad for doing layouts.  I do my work on
Mac OSX and FreeBSD except for the cases where I'm stuck with Windows for
packages like AVRStudio.
