Ah, but then you are left with the problem of how to effectively
sync him to a sequencer. I know a solution which is on-topic
for the Synth-DIY community. Convert MIDI sync pulses to high
voltage pulses, then apply them to his genitals. 
Easy implementation. He might enjoy it too.

(it must be all this talk about squeezing rubber hoses)
