Oh, cool, he offers a variety of MIDI encoders.
You seem to know what wavetables can do for you, but as Paul Maddox said,
you probably don't want to be building a polysynth.
Let's review:
You've got a MIDIfied melodeon, and you want to feed that MIDI into a
portable sound module, probably one that uses wavetable synthesis. A
polyphonic MIDI>CV convertor could give you MIDI inputs. However, since we
have now specified a "portable, polyphonic wavetable synth with MIDI
inputs," I think we are asking for too much from a DIY project. (But, I hope
that I'm wrong!)
