[sdiy] Wavetable Synthesis

My belief that this may be the way to achieve my idea is based on an 
electronic bagpipe (Deger Pipes) that uses wavetable synthesis to produce a 
very good version of Scottish Great Highland Pipes in a very small highly 
portable package.
I am trying to produce an electronic melodeon ( a small accordion-like 
instrument), I already have the midi working courtesy of a kit from Tom 
Scarffe.
It was the extension of this to create a more natural sounding device not 
tied to the pc or some other device that I was trying to achieve.
