If you're after a bench supply, then Rapid do a nice little +/- 15V supply
unit for about 40 pounds. Current-limited outputs to around 100mA, with
LED indication on both outputs (green = OK, red = short/overload).
Being all enclosed you're less likely to electrocute yourself from the
mains.
If you're looking to integrate a PSU into a project, I might suggest the
popular Power One module (check archives for details), but this involves
mains wiring, so unless you're familiar and competent with mains wiring
practices, probably best to get someone experienced to check it out,
otherwise you might not be with us for long :-(
