Go for it.
I've just finished building a FATMAN kit and it
worked first time. it pretty good as a starter as it comes
wilth all the bits. The sound is fairly basic as the two
vco's only produce a square wave which does mean that you
cant do much with the initial tone i presume this was a
compromise as the two oscillators do give it a "fat" sound
.Its good as a bass or lead synth.The only fiddly bit is
the flying wires from the circuit board to the front panel
pots.
Be warned if your ordering from the EU DHL the
carrier will slap on duty, VAT and charge you £10 for
processing it. this means that the kit arrives through
customs very quickly (ordered friday arrived tuesday)
but it should be considered when costing. the Whole ot
added a further £40 to the cost.
