[sdiy] boss looper sync?

hi,

i will soon be experimenting with a friend who has a boss rc-20 looper. i'm 
wondering what kind of sync options it has. from the info i've found on the 
internet, it doesn't seem to have any. are there any hacks to input a 
trigger every measure to restart the loop or anything like that? or is there 
somewhere i might extract a trigger from its metronome to sync my gear to?
