That's a bloody brilliant and very lateral idea. But you couldn't use a
haxor blade because there'd be probably a maximum of about 3 teeth in
contact with the pot-shaft and they'd probably wear down in about a second.
May I sugges an abrafile. These things are kind of like a cross between a
file, a cutting disk and a hacksaw blade. They will cut through anything in
second. Including yourself if you're not careful. You can even get power
files that use the same technique. I use to work for a place that, as part
of the business, installed car radios etc. They use to have one of these
things for hacking out chunks in car dashboards.
But then that leads me to think. What about the good ol' humble angle grinder?
