Batz:
don't blame you at all---I deliberately use old
versions of Eudora and suchlike, because watching
an HTML email being rendered is an annoyance.
Unfortuantely, a lot of new Outlook users just
don't understand this stuff. Asking them to
disable HTML email is very difficult, they get 
confused....many times I have tried to explain this
to people, and rarely does it work..."isn't email
supposed to have all those colored fonts and stuff
in it??"

I use KeyKit. It's free, and it's incredibly flexible.....
no audio crap either.

--extremely reliable and easy to
install, comes with a ton of freeware.
Major shortcoming: the KDE desktop seems to
be too slow to use on an older Pentium.
Bummer........but it's the easiest to use
Linux I have yet seen--even your mother
could handle it.
