[sdiy] Keyboard interface

Hi, i'm new to this list and quite a beginner in
electronics. I have a few questions about keyboard
interface assembly.

I have a one switch per key 2 octaves keyboard that
i've made a resistor ladder with. I use this approach
rather than the matrix mainly because of learning. 

I've also made a very simple s&h circuit (one
capacitor and one opamp). The problem is getting out a
reasonable gate. 

First of all i'll have to make a circuit that
separates the s&h and the ladder without taking any
current. I tried using a FET without success. This is
probably due to my lack of knowledge regarding FETs.

Does anyone have any suggestions?
